Got back to work on the 1962 409 Belair sedan. After initially smoothing her out and sealing with 2 part Epoxy, I squirted her with a polyester filler that is a high build easy-to-sand topping. Longboarded that with 320 grit dry, touched up a few select areas, then coated her again with 2 part Epoxy sealer. If I'm close, I can block sand this and get her ready for base coat. That will be done in a booth. So far I've been doing all the prep work in the driveway. My neighbors drive by in amazement . No one has stopped to help, though.... That long boarding sure is fun...
The shots with the lighter coats show the sprayable filler from EverCoat (a sort of bondo). The satin black is the 2 part Epoxy sealer, which is Transtar 6161. It builds also, and is somewhat easy to sand. The EverCoat comes off like talcum powder, and hopefully gets it fairly flat .
Enjoy!
