It could be put back on the street but it will stay a race car. The 496 big block is pushed of in the corner for maybe another project but it won’t go back into this car. The pg trans that came with it is well built and has a 5500 converter that I’m gonna try at first. The X frame stops at the ladder bar crossmember and has a one piece driveshaft. Yesterday we pulled the motor back out for freshening and i thought about the cowl tag, so after removing a piece of the shiny stuff “which i hate” found it with a hole drilled through it. 3C14F344-0988-46A6-925A-349FF3F76CA9.jpeg 45522A4C-D9B0-473C-AFD5-4910ECF68584.jpeg D5299647-9895-4967-BDDE-D258BC0CB41F.jpeg

Just because I’m not gonna make the 42 race doesn’t meen I’m not working on it. One of the setbacks was i thought i needed 5/8 studs on the axles so sent em to strange for this operation and two weeks later i got em back then i find metal in the axle tubes so out comes the third member. The rear was eaten itself up so its of to Summit for $800.00 worth of gears and bearings. Then my gear guy couldnt get the gears to set right and we find out the Strange n case is bad so of to Summit again for a new case. Two more weeks shot. Got it all in yesterday, and finished the cage update today. So on to other things on the list

That’s no W motor! What that engine detail, or is it top secret?
Nice ride Barry!!!! Are you sure that isn’t a bullet hole in the ID tag? Best way to prevent that is to always back in!:confused
