Damn James I can’t get anything past you! Funny thing is i did run it backwards on the altered and when i started this project I realized if i wanted to run a crank trigger i would have to turn it around.
It could be put back on the street but it will stay a race car. The 496 big block is pushed of in the corner for maybe another project but it won’t go back into this car. The pg trans that came with it is well built and has a 5500 converter that I’m gonna try at first. The X frame stops at the ladder bar crossmember and has a one piece driveshaft. Yesterday we pulled the motor back out for freshening and i thought about the cowl tag, so after removing a piece of the shiny stuff “which i hate” found it with a hole drilled through it.
I sold a car once that was used as a getaway car, the guy never titled it and the PD came a knockin at my door. Luckily I made 2 copies of a bill of sale and kept one myself. My wife and I thought it was pretty funny that our old Olds Delta Royal that couldn't get out of its own way was used as a getaway car, Lol
Just because I’m not gonna make the 42 race doesn’t meen I’m not working on it. One of the setbacks was i thought i needed 5/8 studs on the axles so sent em to strange for this operation and two weeks later i got em back then i find metal in the axle tubes so out comes the third member. The rear was eaten itself up so its of to Summit for $800.00 worth of gears and bearings. Then my gear guy couldnt get the gears to set right and we find out the Strange n case is bad so of to Summit again for a new case. Two more weeks shot. Got it all in yesterday, and finished the cage update today. So on to other things on the list
