I recently bought a '60 El Camino that was a stalled restoration project. The 348 had been rebuilt and is back in the car but is missing some parts.
Can somebody advise where I can get a dipstick and tube?

Thanks in advance.

Here’s the short story.
With me spending about half my time in St. Louis (pre COVID at least) I’ve been looking for something to occupy my time when I’m down here.
I recently bought a ‘60 El Camino.
The previous owner bought it in a package of cars from an estate auction. It was in the reassembly stage and then the project stalled. Because of the passing of the owner restoring the car, and the fact there were around 70 cars being liquidated, a lot of the parts not reinstalled went missing. I’ve spent the last couple weeks hunting parts and have rounded up all the missing El Camino specific parts and have taken a good chunk out of the other parts missing.

It was a LA plant built car. When I bought the car I was told the bumper in the bed was the back bumper. It had a sticker on it for a naval station in Lamoore California..... from 1963.
When I actually got possession of the car and emptied out the box, it turned out to be the front bumper..... and it still had its California black plate on it. Makes sense now for the sticker on the front bumper as you‘re approaching the guard shack. I liked the car a little more once I saw this. lol

I was lucky enough to find the two lower long trim pieces and they’re on their way to STL.

Did the El Camino have the same long fin trim as the Biscaine? The fin trim pieces are 7" with two short pieces on the door.
The car came with the fin chrome (3 pieces on each side, 2 on the door and a long piece on the quarter.
I do need new clips for the upper and lower trim pieces. Any suggestions where to buy them?

Happy Thanksgiving.

Do you have the six, fin trim pieces? If you don't I have a set that came off a 2dr Biscayne! I don't have any extra clips.
I do have those trim pieces. Thanks though. I don’t think the trim from a 2 door will fit. The El Camino is longer as its on the station wagon platform so the quarter trim needs to be El Camino or 2 door station wagon....... I believe.

The direction this thread is going, I’ve changed the title. If a moderator could move it to the 58 - 65 full size forum, that would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
