I've been monitoring this site for quite some time in preparation for the purchase of my second 65 SS. I purchased my first one in 1971 for $300 when I was 15 and proceeded to build it into a pretty fun car for a high schooler. That was a 327 car (with a few updates), but was always jealous of my buddies 64 409SS. That car is long gone, but I've found and purchased another 65 SS with a 409. Thanks to all the postings on this site I verified in advance that it was not a true 409 SS, but it is a still a great car in great condition. Like any 40+ year car though, it has a number of things that could be in a little better shape or work a little better, so I've got my work cut out for me.

awesome! You'll have to try and make it out a few times this summer with the car! I'd love to see it

Cool

Welcome. I like the 65 with a 409. An original is a rare bird indeed. Nothing wrong with one that is made either! Wheres the pictures!
