COMMENTS:

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago and our nation was the most prosperous in the world, had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What the heck happened?

Not so funny is right!

DQ

Only a mere forty years ago, the predominant family lifestyle was a single income earner in the family.

One car. If a family had two cars it meant that one's wife had a driver's licence and they were doing more than OK.

Debt. Huge difference in debt, per person, then compared to now.

Car Insurance. Here, young drivers pay huge premiums to drive a car. Monthly payments X 12 overshoot the value of the vehicle they drive. How are young adults expected to save for their future with this over their head?

Tax. Some years ago I got frustrated about being taxed with everything. I sat down and included insurance costs and wasn't surpised that about $0.70 cents of every dollar earned went there.

I could go on... :?

Why? That's easy, Because all the a-holes (BOTH republicans and democrats) in our government (locally and nationally) can't stop spending our money fast enough. spend, spend, spend.
