Looking for a feature story on a friend's car, I ran across this article "Performance-Building Chevy's "Obsolete" 409" in my files from the October 1975 issue of Popular Hot Rodding magazine. I thought it was interesting, particularly considering the age of the article (almost 45 years ago).

I’ve often wondered who’s Z11 motor (with the velocity stacks) that was in the opening photo of that article.

I believe that article was written about Paul Wright from the Dayton , Ohio area, and his stroked 409's he was building for circle track racing.
