Oil Pressure

So I finally have my motor back together for the most part and am about to prime the oil pump. What kind of pressure should I have? I am running a melling high volume oil pump, and will be priming it with a old distributor to make shure its getting oil to the top of the motor.

It depends on bearing clearance. But I will hazard a guess with a rebuild at around 60 PSI.

Or priming? Just make sure oil gets to the rockers. Running, I would guess....hot oil at idle 25psi...2000 rpm 50psi.
