In my neighborhood the only schwinns were built from parts scavenged from throw aways my buddies Dad picked up on his trash route in the rich neighborhood. That is where our group of friends learned about wrench sizes, stripped threads etc.. Ah the good old days.
I still have a 67 typhoon two speed kickback in a copper color metal flake orange. I cant remember the name of the color. And I have a purple girls Hollywood with a basket on the front. They are both original except for the tires. We ride them occasionally. I also have two Continentals from the Eighties that I ride. Oh, and also a girls Suburban, and a Letour. They all ride very well. I have a Corvair girls bike that needs work. I would post pictures, but it is really cold in the barn today.
