I remember entering a 61 Chevy 409 I had with the 63 Z-11 top half and getting pushed into B/FX?? Crazy!

Yes Pat,but wasn't that at an AHRA track? They were more screwy than NHRA was at the time when it came to their "Rules".

Yep, you are correct, it was an AHRA track.

You sometimes did not know what class you were in based on who was in charge that week. It certainly changed many times, never the same year to year.

I do a lot of digital photo work on the side. Friends and buddies get much of it for free if I get to use their photos. Ronnie McNeal was a school days buddy and later track manager at Cecil County Drag-o-way. He had the presence of mind to carry a camera around with him (as did George Cureton). I did these scans for Ron a while back.

Pretty sure that is a mid-1970's Plymouth Cricket or Dodge Colt or Mitsubishi Gallant. Truly the low point of Chrysler's existence.

The only thing that those cars [like the Vega's] were good for is making very light race cars from one of them.

Well of those small cars,those Colts,which were rebadged Mitsubishi's,had the largest available engines at 2600 cc's. Most were under 2,000 cc's.
