One for the Hard Core Drag Racers

I have a Friend (ya I know) who has a Complete 434 All Aluminum SBC Rodek for $6500. I t has good parts and some killer heads on it and he has run 9.40's in his street car but id tired of getting kicked off the track and does not want to put a roll bar in the car. Is this a good deal or not?

He can always re-cam/de-tune and run slower I guess

That's what I was thinking. He and his Dad are vintage road racers and I am sure this was an engine he picked up to tinker with as I know they have a ton of cool stuff.
