The altered made a couple passes so far this weekend. New converter helped the launch, but still on the rev limiter 1000 feet on out. Managed a 9.91@134. Think I will change out the 3.89 for a 3.50. The 60 foot is getting better 1.43. I was leaving the line at 3100 for the last pass. Still straight as a string. Pretty happy so far. Should get a couple more runs tomorrow.

Couple more 9.91’s today. Starts tickling the rev limiter just after the 1/8. I bumped the rev limiter to 6300 and gained almost 5 mph. All in all a great weekend. Good times for sure.

Wow!! You know how much power it takes to gain 5mph if you’re already at 135?? You obviously do

A lot of that extra mph is coming from his new,tighter converter.

And the rev limiter. Sounds like the converter help get you out of the hole. Now you need to think about an injector to fix that throttle response.

Wait a second! SMALL PORT HEADS? I missed that until now. What did you do for an intake base? Everything else is pretty much straight forward but to get a blower on a small port headed motor means work. How did you pull it off?

No big feat, really. Just ordered a blower intake from Don Hampton. It did take a bit of machining to make everything seal properly though.
