Glad to learn that it meets your approval, that's always a big relief :) :) :).

When I first got my 62SS car I drove it with a 283 PG for five years before turning it into a 409 clone. You'll get there in less time I suspect :).

so I'm out moving cars around to house my new impala...while checking out the car I notice n orange cylinder under the motor, upon further inspection I see the dreaded orange fram filter...arggg:dead...off to the store to buy a wix filter and 6 quarts of penn high zinc oil...:winner

I've decided to keep the 327 in the chassis and drive the car the way it is...almost too nice to pull the drivetrain...the 409 is heading to the el camino, that's my W street brawler...I think I'm gonna install ac and enjoy the car for a while...

Once you drive the 59 with that Jack Gibbs engine, you'll want same in the new toy :).

It might take a while, I drove my 62 for five years with a lowly 283 and the powerglide :).

Do keep the original engine when you pull it, they make nice conversation pieces!
