Never got to meet Fred, when I joined he was on his last days, seems like he was one hell of a guy

Some old time information. Fred Totten got the first 409 race setup after Phil's 409 convention in 2004. It was at Clay City Ky. at Mountain park
Dragway. The racers were Gerry Gostenik 61 Belair, Jim @ Jim from Canada with the 55 Phantom Gasser. Barry Taylor & Ronnie Russell with the Nova.
Bob Walla with the 64, Denny Ford & Bo Martin with a 62, Ray (Fathead) with his 60. Also a White 62 that I can't think of the owners name and
myself. There was a Red 63 that didn't race but I am sure he is a member here. Bob Walker and his son were there but his 63 was not complete
at that time. A good time was had by all and it is still going on.

Remember the time Fred showed up as the Sun was setting in Norwalk? He had just installed a 5 speed and didn't get it all set up before loading up and heading to the track. When he showed up after wrenching then driving for hours several guys took over and adjusted his clutch and finished the install. Fred was the consummate racer
