I picked up a Posi center section for my Elk this weekend, the gears seem to be 4.56:1. I don't need that deep of gears and want to know how to find what series gear will fit. There is a spacer (about 1/4 inch thick) behind the ring gear.
Some numbers from the housing, cast in are 3788812 and stamped in the carrier are the numbers: 7 15 63 B 22158 X and on the ring gear 3062 9 41 USAX1 C-30743.
I would like to go with something around a 3.55:1 ratio.
