Can not solve PS squeal very very irritating (like PMS squeal) I have tried everything I can think of. Have not replaced fluid or belt. I had a similar problem with the alternator the PO had replaced the 409 alternator with a jap special and lost the 409 pulley squealed like a banshee. Replaced the pulley with a deep grove 409 pulley problem solved. I wonder if that could be my PS problem? Thanks see attached.673B898D-5628-45A4-B8C4-7FDC8DD73E15.jpeg89BA5BE8-9D6D-4BE3-8E61-0208BC564581.jpeg673B898D-5628-45A4-B8C4-7FDC8DD73E15.jpeg89BA5BE8-9D6D-4BE3-8E61-0208BC564581.jpegEF7BBC76-5878-4E12-8C0B-E83624D762FA.jpeg5FA17A8A-FB51-48A8-93F5-F0CAA1B39456.jpeg586A2457-F27B-4B35-9878-87095097FC97.jpeg43A5D5C4-5FDB-44E6-9AB4-87A67E68FD88.jpeg42EC1037-0DD1-4581-8F34-1AB035025B82.jpeg673B898D-5628-45A4-B8C4-7FDC8DD73E15.jpeg673B898D-5628-45A4-B8C4-7FDC8DD73E15.jpeg89BA5BE8-9D6D-4BE3-8E61-0208BC564581.jpegEF7BBC76-5878-4E12-8C0B-E83624D762FA.jpeg5FA17A8A-FB51-48A8-93F5-F0CAA1B39456.jpeg586A2457-F27B-4B35-9878-87095097FC97.jpeg43A5D5C4-5FDB-44E6-9AB4-87A67E68FD88.jpeg42EC1037-0DD1-4581-8F34-1AB035025B82.jpeg673B898D-5628-45A4-B8C4-7FDC8DD73E15.jpegEF7BBC76-5878-4E12-8C0B-E83624D762FA.jpeg5FA17A8A-FB51-48A8-93F5-F0CAA1B39456.jpeg586A2457-F27B-4B35-9878-87095097FC97.jpeg43A5D5C4-5FDB-44E6-9AB4-87A67E68FD88.jpeg42EC1037-0DD1-4581-8F34-1AB035025B82.jpeg673B898D-5628-45A4-B8C4-7FDC8DD73E15.jpeg

I have billet aluminum waterpump and crank pulleys on mine and I have to really tension the alternator belt to keep it from squealing like a banshee. I imagine the PS pump is a lot harder to get enough tension on its belt.

Definitely the PS. Can hardly drive it. I wonder if it could be the type of fluid? Dex 3 is in it. I may turkey baste it out.
Anybody know what to flush it with?

Maybe something wrong with the pump, I noticed you don't have factory P/S, what do you know about it, did it work before?
That fluid should be fine.

It looks like your pump is tilted down too much ,and maybe getting air in system. The cannister fill cap should be about 12 to 1 oclock position.possible belt too long.

Thank you all!
Pulley is awfully close but doesn’t touch. Fill port is clocked about 1:00.
I’m going to drain fluid and replace with new, replace belt and try to clock the pump closer to 12:00 maybe eliminate possibility of air ingestion.

is that the correct cast iron pulley on your pump? If not, i'd change to a cast iron pulley and shorten up on the belt.
