Well I been working on this Biscayne for a few years now. Sold during the big D then I was able to buy it back. It was a 6 way back. When I bought it it came w 409 4 speed trans. Ran it that way for a bit then pulled the motor out during big D now it sports a 68 327 and 4 speed. This T-10 is driving me nuts. Issues with popping out of 2 nd howling when down shifting to 1st. Who makes the best rebuild kits?

The last one I did I got the parts from D&L Transmission
They sale a torque lock synchro assembly set to combat the popping out of gear problem.

Down shifting into 1st? I don't think old transmissions like that too much.

Your second gear engagement teeth are ruined from speed shifting. Replace second gear with your rebuild and you should be good to go!!!!!!!
