That’s exactly where the info comes from. They get it from the nearest airport. Not totally accurate for the track you at at ground level, but it gives you a pretty good indicator.

Thanks Brian!! It’s got all of the tracks in my area, plus some dirt tracks and kart tracks plus directions to them.

At the track, I use the Kestrel 5100. It's gives all the info you need: actual baro, temp, humidity, actual altitude, density altitude water grains, etc. Once you start logging the data with the run, patterns begin to emerge. Works great.

Can't agree more! For heads up index racing it was an advantage that few in the slower classes understood.
