Just curious what is the best rear suspension? Stock, UMI, Hotchkis, Global West. I'm building, a street 409 62 Belair, but it will see some track time!

You can box in your factory trailing arms and replace the bushings. You do want to install the fourth upper arm on the passenger side.

Would boxing be as strong as the Hotchkis or Global West control arms?
I believe they would be. If you go with the aftermarket upper arms it will give you some adjustability for pinion angle.

i bought those reinforcement braces and the upper adjustable control arms for my 61 from global west
and the lower control arms and adjustable pan hard bar from umi (better price) .
double adjustable qa1 shocks..quick performance 9"

I was to cheep to buy, just used some steal plate.
Good idea not to skip weld James.
and have both type of frames in my race cars with no problems.
LOL...learned about lower front bracket the hard way.
Back in my days we would weld in a 5' long ladder bar.

Any pics of the lower front mount reinforcing That you did? I have the Global West upper reinforcement.

Got adjustable UMI stuff coming since I'm lowered. Gonna be a while as the black friday sale pushed production back 4 weeks.
