Retainers

Hi, anyone in her that can answer me if i can use my stock retainers with showcars valvesprings Part nr 3359 , the cam is showcars 0950, 519/525 lift, and the heads is stock early 58, 250 hp.

According to my catalog,no they will not.These springs have a diameter of 1.439 and the stock spring is around 1.24.

Thanks Don, youre right, as allways, my stock springs are1,34 od but there is the same, it dosnt work. I have to look around and see what i can find. Thanks again!

Show Cars should have them as well as the more desirable 7 degree valve locks.

What you say Don about compcams 942 springs, 744 retainers and 603 locks, recomended max lift for this spring is a Little various depending who sells it, but 515-520 its what jegs and summit says. But i can see there is a couple of builders in this group that use this springs with 0950 cam, what your experience?

The 942 spring will handle the 0950 cam,no problem.
