James I believe he has a quick performance 9" with the longer studs in the axles? Remember when we were in Ohio at 42 dragway and we put shorter bolts that hold the calipers to the brackets because the end of the bolt was hitting the rotor.?

I'm trying to get wheels on the rear that match the front...they are only available in 10" and 4" or 5" bs...am running 8" now with 4" bs. Was hoping to find someone running the same because I know how calculations work. Not going to bet over a thousand bucks on calculations. Instead of spending over a grand for correct wheels I probably will end up doing what Randy mentioned...go buy a cheap wheel, mount tire on it, Double Nut it, and check fitment. I just thought someone here may have the same setup. Thanks for all the ideas.

I believe it would be easy with some flat stock a drill, tap some angle iron .and some thread all to make something for next to nothing that would do the same thing .........

I'll try Keith's link, looks like a sure thing, when I get time. Too busy fishing, making and testing bullets, shooting, doing other car stuff, and getting ready for winter. There will be lots of winter days for this soon.

probably doesnt help much but .......my quick performance on my 61
is narrowed 2" on each side and my 10"rims with 295's are stuffed in
the backspace is 3 1/4.....(fact) .i have 3" studs with the fender lip rolled and have to air the tire down after jacking the suspension to the maxium...it's a pain in the ass but it looks sick..............i had a 7" rim with a 4" backspace that would rub the inside frame where the coil spring mounts . the wheels were widened to 10",and backspace changed

On my 64' I pull the valve out of the stem to quick blead and throw a ratchet strap around the tire and pull it together on the tread surface and it makes (for me) a much quicker process with less axle twist needed. We would do this same trick to put a tire back on the bead while off-roading because running 6-8lbs of pressure would lead to someone loosing a tire every now and then.
