What everybody else said Ronnie , your a brave man and can only inspire to be as brave as you are if I was put in a situation. Such a sad post I actually read it out loud to my wife. I hope things turn for the better for you!!

Godspeed and God bless you Ronnie. You are a great inspiration to all the forum. We thank the Lord we were able to meet you at Great Bend and thank you so much for all the help you afforded when Travis and I were building the 409.
From the early days at Clay City and Norwalk to the later times at Thompson and Bowling Green you have been a great friend. You will always be with us. Bless you Ronnie.
Can't be too late to be thinkin' of a TEXAS STEAK or BASS FRY or any FISH FRY!!!! I realize it's getting late in Ronnies' journey, but was wondering if some kind of local neighborhood catered event could be arranged on short notice??? Just need to gauge interest.

I and approximately fifty of my old airline retired mechanic coworkers get together for our monthly breakfast at a local lodge. We all have excepted the fact that there will be a few more empty chairs every month! The standing joke is that we are all at the age where we playing the back nine now and if your chair remains vacant a few minutes, we steal your share of the bacon from the buffet table!!!! Leo & Pat

Ronnie Russell you are a true Hero .
Ronnie Russell and Fred Totten, two of a kind. Everyone's best friend. You don't know how much I wanted to call both these great guys my best friends. But I knew Ronnie and Fred have to be shared with everyone on this site . The two of them are best friends to everyone they meet. That's just the kind of guys they are. I try to be that kind of guy but know that it only comes natural to very few of us. These two men inspire others to try and be more like them. I have failed. But I'll keep trying. Ronnie Russell can never be replaced, he's one of his kind. The next drag strip Ronnie goes to I hope the wind has his back. Drag on my friend.
I have had the honor of sitting around his shop, as many of you have, and listening to him just trying to soak in a little of his knowledge.
He never treated me as anything but a friend....even in the beginning.
I hope that I am able to treat others as he did me.
He is not gone...and I already miss him.

I cannot say anything that hasn't already been said. I truly wish I had gotten to meet you in person but through your posts here and a couple of PM's I feel like I know what a special guy you truly are. God willing I can someday have half the knowledge, patience and personality that seem to come so easily to you.
