I love this car!!! I've been wanting a 2 door handyman/stationwagon (non-Nomad) or 2-door chevelle wagon to put a 409 into. This is a twist on that concept. Does anyone know which car was the base for this showcar? A station wagon with 2-door quarters added or a sedan with a stationwagon top added??

It was originally a wagon to start with.

I saw a picture of the wagon it started from with pictures of the completed car.
It started from a red 4 door 63 belair or impala wagon.

Obviously a lot of nice work .....I have never seen an aftermarket or billet 63 grill that looked anything like ......or nearly as good........ as the stock Chevy

They are transmission cooling fans.

A black and red 63 with a 409 is already a beautiful combination. What was done to this car took that to a new level! Simply stunning!!!
