Didn’t get as much time as I wanted to work on the 62 I installed a leveling kit in my friends 08 gmc on Saturday. My dowels showed up and I got the bellhousing aligned now. Clutch should be here Tuesday and I’m not sure when the rest of my fuel system will show up. I got the engine set in and headers, starter, oil filter all on it. Also got my fuel tank back had feed and return fittings welded on it.B8FA67ED-AC46-4EB0-826E-F876D0482F3F.jpeg

Got oil in the engine and got it primed and distributor set in. Water pump is on now also. Started to mill my valve covers to install my breathers. I didn’t like how jumpy my cutter at home is so will take them to work tomorrow to knock down the fins with my cutting bit then tidy them up back at home then I can get them installed! I found that a nickel was the perfect spacer to put between the back of the water pump and timing cover just in case the cam wants to try to come forward. Also had my trusty assistant doing the under the car work.

My fuel lines showed up today! Only waiting on one fitting from the tank to pre filter so I have pretty much everything I can think of to make it run and drive providing everything works properly! I used James method and modified my valve covers and now have breathers installed on them! I need to get some foam for the breathers yet I’m planning on getting some small engine air filters and cut them to size figure they should be perfect being they are already an air filter.882B2080-6555-4136-9270-768AD80849A8.jpeg2F624019-AF13-4E5D-B116-F0D10301466A.jpeg339ABE4D-B5A4-4B9A-880A-33CE8C57A8A0.jpeg9F6581C1-150E-409B-8517-BF127CD8EFA3.jpeg
