I was on your picture site this afternoon And one of the photo is of Ronnie Sox and the 63 Z-11 car.
I attended the 5th York reunion this past weekend, Hank Gabbert was in attendance with the just restored "Good ole' Mr Wilson Car" Which I believe was driven by Ronnie Sox's in 1963.
Hank did a beautiful restoration of the car. Was able to talk with him at lenght over the next two days.
He was more impressed with the Blue Screamer when I backed it
off of my trailer to unload the 23 T-Ford that I had on display at the show. (Got new trailer can haul the two cars). Did not display my 62 409,
but raced a Beaver Springs on Sunday . Won first round, then the sky opened up and washed the day out.

As far as I know the car was not driven by Ronnie Sox. If he did drive it, it was very limited, like testing etc. The car was run out of Ronnie's fathers Sinclair station.

I spoke with the current owner at the York show. He is a very nice guy and did a great job with the car. He also has a nice website that tracks the restoration start to finish.

The car was photographed at Beaver Springs for a future magazine feature. They also made a parade lap down the track. The owner told me earlier the Strickler Z-11 was supposed to do a parade lap with him at Beaver Springs but I guess it didn't work out.

I stand corrected, The car did run out of Sox Sinclair and most likely was
prepared by Sox and Martin Race team. Ronnie did have another car that
he was racing at the time.. Hank's web site does indicate this.
Talking to Hank at the show I must of had my hearing turned off.
See you at Cecil this weekend.

I've been lurking here once in a while, just haven't posted....

They did a great job on the Jack May Z-11. They had tons of photos of the car with them at York. He was more than happy to show them to me. They had a great deal of work to do and did a fine job.

I'll see you at Cecil. Should be fun and HOT!!!!
