Squeaky Doors?

I have squeaky doors (2) on my 59. The best way to describe it is a "50s door squeak". I haven't lubed it because I think it gives the car character, having a 50s door squeak. I have heard stories about when you do lube the doors to try to get rid of that squeak, I've heard that the squeak returns a couple months later.
Has anyone else had this problem of door squeaky-ness on their late 50s/early 60s Chevy?

That's about right, the squeak will soon return.

But I always kept my squeak there on my old Chevys.

It's a Chevy trade mark, lol.

That's because these old Chevys have a springed tang that contacts the door hinge to hold the door open. Constant contact of this tang eventually wipes away lubrication, hence, the squeak returns. Modern cars have a roller or another mechanism as a cam to hold the door open unless intentional pulled closed.
