Does anybody here know what kind of car this T10 might be out of.:scratch
I got it years ago and the guy I got it from had no idea either.

It appears to be a Ford style main case with an early GM style extension housing.
I gather that GM stopped using that extension housing in 60 or 61 but this one is dated 5-29-63 which is a pretty close match with the 4-16-63 date on the side plate.

The main case numbers are T10B-1 WG Div W-1 It also has either a G25 or 625 casting mark

The side cover is dated 4-16-63 and has a tag that says AK

The aluminum extension housing says T10-7B Wg Div dated 5-29-63

Here it is between a Chevy Saginaw and Muncie.

Studebaker ,in it's later years, was a lot like AMC [all makes combined] or International Harvester.God only knows what or whose parts were used on these things.I would suspect that particular transmission was from a full-size Ford.

It seems that Studebaker used the Chevy style main case up until about 62 then they switched over to the small Ford pattern. The 10 spline input and 16 spline output was also used by Studebaker in 63

It would be nice for both you and a Studebaker owner looking for that Borg Warner tranny to hook up. I don't imagine they are very common to find anymore.
