I finally got another bubble top after 47 years since the old man junked mine when he came home from work and I was pulling the motor with his new nylon anchor rope on a pine tree branch. Hey, you used whatever was on hand, wouldn't believe how much that line can stretch! The new one is a 61 badged as a SS with a 63 409 and a 5 speed Tremec. I have a bunch of questions and have never owned a 409 so please be patient.

Thank you I've got a 62 Bel-Air actually two of them I'm looking to see if I can step ten inc wheels up underneath there just looking at my options I haven't got it home yet should be here after the first of the month

Welcome to the forum!!! FYI....your generator brace should not be attached to the water pump. It goes into the front of the cylinder head.
 
Yeah I hope everybody bears with me trying to navigate the site I've have little trouble with that but the guy that just got his first 409 I just looked up and found a whole bunch of parts laying around 348 409 if anybody's interested I can send those links do you
