Hi Dave,

No we are clear of this thing again, they had an outbreak in Auckland (north Island) 8 weeks ago with about 30 cases but got them out of the community pretty quick and into managed isolation. We have a quarantine system here run by the military so when you come into NZ you are tested for covid and put in a hotel, tested again in 3 days, tested in 9 days time and let out at day 14 if you test negative again. within the country we just scan a QR code that all businesses have on their doors and that records dates and times so if there is an outbreak they can trace people that were int he same place around the same time so as to stop the spread in the community.
I dont like our government and have never liked our head idiot in parliament but the system works, im not worried about them knowing where i shopped on a particular day if it keeps Lynette and my family away from this thing as long as i can.
Donald Trump was wrong when he said it was all over for New Zealand, he had the wrong information, we had 30 odd cases pop back up in auckland from a person who decided that they didnt want to stay in isolation for 14 days. so that one idiot put the rest of the citizens at risk.

I really get the dislike for big brother and infringing on rights etc and detest our current gun laws and the state of our political system but
There comes a time when everyone actually needs to try work together to beat something like covid as this is an enemy of everyone, it has no friends
The idea of heard immunity is going out the window as well as this thing seems to change itself very quickly, we get the flu inoculation each year as Lynette is immune compromised and each year the flu changes. this thing changes itself weekly if not daily
It will be hard to beat

Rant over

Been fishing, hunting, building on the hut, working on the 61 and the 60, drinking beer and telling lies, all the normal things

How about you guys

Steve

well not much to see here.... move along.:D
Have not been doing much on the car so far this summer as had a lot of crap at work to deal with.
Lynettes Step Dad passed away 7 days before Christmas so the Holiday season over here started with a bit of a downer.
George was 92, originally from Scotland and a pure gentleman. lovely guy. hard to understand if he had a couple of Whiskeys in him though.:laugh4

Have had Lynettes step sisters house to wire up so that has taken a bit of time out of my car/shed time

My Brother Dave, built me up a diff head for the car with the latest Cap girdles on it. Came up real cool i think
3.73:1 P case, Nitro gear and axel Gear set and Pozi unit.
Not the correct date head casting for the car but that doesnt matter to me over here
Some pics of the diff head below

Take Care

Installed a new Trunk floor basin to remove the rust issues under the strap
Why is that piece of flat steel in there anyway? is it to stop drumming or just for strength?
I was thinking of seam sealing around it so nothing could get in between it and the floor20210428_104022_resized.jpg20210428_154302_resized.jpg20210428_172942_resized.jpg20210430_115103_resized.jpg

Very nice work Steve, nicer than my body guys work from the looks.

I noted the outside seat belt brackets in the wheel well. That seat belt will be behind the rear arm rest (assuming you are
using a full arm rest to goes to the floor pan). There is actually a dimple in the floor pan for the factory mounting of the seat belt to the for the seat belt closet to the windows in the gray primer picture. In fact the dimples in the floor are for 3 sets of seat belts on 61 and 62's for sure. My picture of my 62 SS convertible with the same floor pan shows what I am referring to for the outside closest to the windows mount.
