The people will not sacrifice at all to help themselves. Similar to the hate going on in the Universities, it would stop tomorrow if the people all pulled their kids. No money, no schools, no money, no cars or insurance companies. However, this is where the liberal, and liberal supporting people on the right say, if you don't have anything to hide, what's the problem. Just like they do with all other forms of monitoring, tracking, and things that don't directly effect them right now. But the rich, famous, and politically powerful will somehow always be exempt. And the people, both left an right will let it happen.

Exactly. Left uses "for your own good" to explain away their desire to control society.
Red Flag Laws are a favorite. Someone calls you in for RFL and your "Right" to posses firearms is stripped until you can prove you're not guilty....if you survive an armed SWAT team busting into your house with no knock warrant.
Or the "SWATTING" that's become popular with liberals. Call in you or your address as "crazy person with gun". You can figure out the rest.
