Hello, everyone! Thanks for letting me join. I recently purchased my second '62 Impala. My first '62 I owned 25 years ago, and it was my first car at age 15.
I'm looking forward to learning everything I can about the W engine and sharing my progress.

Thanks guys! The car wasn't built a 409, unfortunately but the vin shows it's a v8 sport coupe. The previous owner did a heck of a job with the engine and drivetrain. Numbers matching or not, my dream car is a 62 with a 4 speed, dual quad posi-traction 409. It could be a bubble top, but I feel lucky enough as is. All my cars I build to drive, so I'll be sure to post progress as it happens. First things first, I've got to seal the interior up and get a/c on the car, Texas is no joke.

I apologize now for being rude at any point. I don't take nicely to any Blue 62' Impala hard tops since Paul was rude enough to beat me at the Tri-State drag way last year with his Blue 62' Impala. Where do you live in Dallas? I went there for some schooling. SMU then over to UTD I worked at MillionAir Corp in Addison then I went over to work with the Dallas Stars for my last year there.

While working for the Stars I was offered a job with their Farm Team back in Iowa where I was born and raised so I moved back to Iowa. Love Fort Worth. People are so much nicer there, plus the Stock Yards are a blast! We would drive over to Billy Bob's a couple times a month.
