I am putting 15X6's up front and 15X8's out back...I want to buy some BFG radial TAs to mount on them. Currently I am running a 215-75-15 up front and a 285-70-15 out back...yes a 285-70 out back. They rub every once in awhile.

Up front I will be getting a 215-70-15 and I want a meaty tire for out back that won't rub then...should I do a 275-60 then? Or a 255-60?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

J

what would you recommend then? I'm having a hard time here with the tire selection

would the 275-60 be a good set-up with the 215-70 up front? That's a 28" tire for out back then....

When I was deciding on tires for my 60, I took it to American Tire Store http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/home.do and they mounted and test fit several bfg's for me to decide, they also matched tire racks internet price...in fact they will match anyones advertised price. They probabally thought I was nuts when I told them I'd be back in two weeks after I went to narrow the rear to fit bigger meats, but I did. If you are close to one I would give them a try...they didn't charge me a dime for mounting four or five different combinations.

my 63 ss has a 275/60/15 bfg drag radial on the back, with weld draglites, 15x8 with 3 and 3/4" bs, slight rub on a hard launch with 17psi in them

I decided to go with the 275-60 out back....should look real nice. I'm happy. I also stepped up to 225-70 for up front. :)
