Not a joke: I just read a news release where the democrats are mounting an effort to make the District of Columbia the 51st state. That would add 2 more Democratic Senators to Congress since D.C is almost totally Democratic.

You sure that is real? Even if it is or isn't, when they cannot win on their merits and ideas, they try to win through deception and lies, or skew the numbers to their favor in one way or another.

SCREW Puerto Rico. They voted down becoming a state multiple times. They have made it clear that don't want to be a part of the United States. They only want the money from the US, and to complain about how much the US doesn't do for them. I would rather annex and have to pay for the clean up of Mexico or Cuba than take Puerto Rico.
