Pat, you and Tom raced each other?
What happened was he was traveling to various tracks. I’m sure it was pay to clean out the locals.
I was racing at my home track, Green Valley in the DFW area. He shows up with the blue 62 and I was running my black 61 Impala, 409/409.
While I never actually lined up side by side, I got eliminated running the best I could in the high 12’s before he I think even had to warm his car up.
Pat didn't......Tom did!!!
Phil might as well have been there! The facts are the same, LOL.
Running in the 12's gets you put on the tow bar(couldn't afford a trailer), very quick when that car showed up.
In reality, I never lined up against Tom, its that getting eliminated before he had to break a sweat. LOL.
Since he was running the Z-11 heads I remember him in a different class.
So, below is the proof I at least won my class before getting eliminated 1965. I think he had to run B/FX or something like that. Could be that 6cyl Studebaker I had to spot within 8" of the finish line got me.
