I was hoisting a new Diesel on to our dredge with a crane. My footing gave away and I had to drop the engine into the pond, about 3/4 of the way up the block, or I would have put crane and all in the drink. Repositioned, got it out, turned over somehow (forgot how) and it was ok. A cable machine can let out slack way faster than a hydraulic machine.

There's a utube video of a drunk chick with her head stuck in a big ole tailpipe. Had to cut it off and took her to the hospital to remove it from her head.

You really have to wonder how some people get through life. There is some very dangerous people over there on the other side of the pond.
