Transmission Cross Member 700R4 vs 4L60

I thought I'd seen transmission cross member specific for a 4L60 for our full size vehicles ('59 El Camino for me). However, now that I have a 4L60, I can't find the cross member info/links that I swear I saw.
Outside a few universal kits, all I've found are 700R4 specific cross members.

I suppose I could fab one up, but I think I'd prefer something already one.
I think I've seen info stating externally the two are similar, but I don't know if they are similar enough to use the same cross member.
Before I order a 700R4 cross member, I'd like to confirm whether they are the same or different.
And a good source, Bowtie Overdrives has one for the 700R4, but I'd like to think I can find it cheaper than $200.
Thanks!

I am using the show cars 700r4 crossmember in my 62 Impala with a 4l60e and it fits perfect. As far as I understand the 700r4 and 4l60e are pretty much the same transmission and have the same dimensions between the two of them the biggest difference between them is the 4l60e is electronically run and the 700r4 isn't. I'm not sure how the dimensions on the late model 4l60e transmissions with a removable bell housing compare to a 700r4 though.

The 700R4 and early 4L60 are the same length(bell housing to mount position), the later 4L60E is slightly different however my crossmember will fit all since the mounting hole is elongated enough for both lengths.

Three different tailshafts mount locations on the 4L60/700R4. Regular like Camaro-Pickup, Large car like Caprice-Taxi takes the TH400 crossmember, and the Corvette. I used the Ecklers mount on mine only because it was slightly adjustable. Same crossmember for 700R4, 4L60 and 4L60e. Easy to get the camaro or Pickup tailshaft if needed. 4 bolts hold it on.

Show Cars version bolts in and that's it.

I'm impressed that Eckler's is cheaper on a part than anyone else! Guess I'll be buying their part in this case.
Thanks for the links!

The ShowCars mount uses the stock location mounts. The Ecklers looks like a hookey add on.
I like the look of this one the best:

But I already have a quality Energy Suspension transmission mount and this doesn't bolt to the same points as the original mount. I could bolt it or weld it to the frame, but I'd rather use the existing mount location as much as possible. Too bad Show Cars doesn't have a better picture, I'd like to take a better look at theirs.

I can try to get a picture of mine tonight if you want an installed picture of the show cars crossmember.

Bowtie's is almost the same as the Ecklers but not adjustable. All three attach to the stock frame mounts. Close your eyes and roll the dice.

I would consider fabbing your own. I was not at all happy with Bowtie overdrives crossmember.

All it does is hold the back of the trans up. Very little stress. I had a th400 one I made out of tailpipe.

Here are the pictures of the show cars crossmember installed on my 62 sorry they are not that great but the neighbor borrowed my floor jack so I didn't have a way to jack it up to get better ones. The crossmember is made out of 1/4 plate steel so it's pretty beefy.image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Thanks for the pics! I think those are better than the pic on the Show Cars site.
