Transmission experts! What is this transmission?

This has been driving me insane! At first I thought it was one of those useless air cooled power glides, but it has 6 distinct clicks on the shifter. I pulled it out of a 70 Chevy truck that was smashed up. It didn't have the original engine so I doubt the transmission is origional. The torque converter is built like an air cooled torque converter with fins, but it has connections for a transmission cooler that was hooked up in the truck. I can't see an air cooled transmission lasting long in a truck. The bell housing is a BOP style multi bolt. 14 bolts in the pan.

Please don't hold me to this, I think it may be an early BOP ST300. Basically the BOP's Powerglide.

Now that I had a name and was able to go looking you are correct. It does have the variable vein feature for the converter which is cool, but it won't work with a 63 floor shifter, not that I wanted to go that direction anyway.
