turboglide question

Could anyone tell me what year this turboglide fits. Part number 3832564 . I don't have a master parts catalog .Trying to help a friend. I know, I tried to tell him, he wants to stay original.

No,they were used from 57 thru 61,Yes they were crap,especially the early ones.

Never had one. Never heard anything good about them. Personally, originality or not, I wouldn't bother with them. Too many good ones out there, Carmine.

I looked up this transmission in my automatic transmission shop manuals, one has the card for that chapter, but nothing in it. Just skips it.
Thought I was going to get a good read, guess not.

Ok, my turboglide came out of a running 61 many years ago, leaked so would need seals.

I was talking to a friend here in town who bought a new black 62 SS and I was remembering what a pretty car it was. He said " yeah but it had a Turboglide transmission and it went out twice before they replaced it with a powerglide" Still under warranty, of course. Like James, I thought I was going to learn a little about the Turboglide, all I learned was that it was trouble.
