Unknown brace & bracket 68 Chevy?

Should both be for a 68 Chevy. The first part should be rear bumper but what is it's purpose?

Second part I have no clue. Do you?

I believe you to be right on the first pics. Rear bumper reinforcement with the rubber spacer. I believe they mount right in the center of the bumper where the license plate folds down. I can only imagine because of the wide and thinner with all those inset tail lights they needed more support. The second one has me stumped so far. Kinda looks like a rear quarter fender support

Thinking first one maybe a leaf spring stop bolted to frame.???? Second one ,not a clue.
