Validating a 65 409 Impala

I sold this 62 in 74-75 in the Detroit area. The 409 400 with the 4 speed was pulled from my 65 SS. I did the transplant in 69-70 and sold the 65 to a guy in the Detroit area. He was going to drop a 427 and make a drag car. The 62 Impala was bought as a shell only. 2000 miles on the car because it was never registered for the street. 409 4 speed bench seat car and a 4th arm were added. It would be great to find both cars and reverse the transplant. What a story that would make. It was white when I bought it then we painted it red. 16864491_1458316980859094_4570003207101634808_n.jpg18881859_1578000285557429_1536759518049147049_n.jpg18920176_1578001352223989_4344506872605927013_n.jpg20141120_212420-002.jpg2014-11-24 12_55_38-20141120_211722 - Paint.jpg20161128_220422.jpg

Someone would have to see this article that has seen the 62. Maybe the original owner if they are still around. They would have to be in their 70s plus. You never know. Once you have owned a W, the love never leaves our body. Like our 1st date, for the most, its never forgotten.

The 62 still had the plastic seat covers on the back seat. I bought the car for 200.00 and it was in the 8 Mile and Evergreen area. Doug Headers in the trunk. No rad, engine or trans. My 65 is similar to the ones pictured. I bought the 65 in Brightmoor MI at 5 Mile and Burt road area. Paid 400.00 and I was 16. The 62 and 65 were about 5 miles apart. 1965-409 (8).jpg1965-409 (9).jpg17100bb66b9f303268117ae49691ba1e.jpg361311_d42fb95255_low_res.JPG
