I'm just curious about people's quarter mile times and set ups...
As for me,
64 Impala Sport Coupe
Currently 283 and powerglide (502 and th400 need to get built soon)
Powerpack heads
Low oil pressure, havent gotten on it much so no times here.

Quarter times

Hey guys!! I have two cars, the "oldest" (to me anyway) is my 68 Chevelle, and my "youngest" is my 62 Bel Air. I have raced the Chevelle way more than the Bel Air. Actually I took it drag racing for the first time this summer and only got to run 1/8 mile because it was too windy. I made one pass, and on the second pass I exploded the rear end off the line!! Oh well at least I made 1 pass at 10.43 at 74.9mph and a 2.79 60 ft.!!!!! I can sat I have a 10 second car!!! :roll (in the eighth) I dont have anything too fancy in the car, I have a flat top 350 with 441 heads and 600 carter carb, a saginaw 4-speed and the stock rear end with 3.36s and NOT a posi. I just run 275/60 tires on stock 15" rims. I just dumped the clutch at a wopping 1500 rpms and KAPOW!!! that was it!
My Chevelle has a 406 small block with 1.94 camel backs and a 750 edlebrock carb. I recently installed a Liberty Pro-shifted Ford Top Loader 4-speed, and I run a 12bolt posi with 3.73s. I have Morroso Trick springs in front and back, and 90/10 shocks in front and 50/50 shocks in back with a stiffer one on the right. I also run 28 by 10.5 slicks. The best I have run is 11.997 at 113.1mph with a 1.67 60ft. That was one time, normally it runs in the 12.teens to 12.twentys at about 111mph. Depending on the day, I dump the chutch between 5500 and 6500 rpms using an adjustable 2-step rev limmiter. Both cars run on premuim gas and I drive them more than I race them.
Man, I sure am long winded, but hey, you asked. :)

My little car goes 9.1@149 but we are working on that. :) Not as fast as some but it can be "entertaining" with the stock 90" wheel base. Was hoping break into the 8's this year but broke my trans instead
I would like to say it ran a 409 but it doesn't, it's a 502.

Headers?

The headers are Thorley Tri Ys, yes they should fit a 58, they are made for the X frame cars. ;)
