Interesting approach. Qualifying only I assume.

NEW WIN LIGHT FORMAT STARTING AT WINTERNATIONALS
Written by Tracy Renck Wed, 2018-01-24 08:00
Competition Plus has learned that there will be a new WIN LIGHT format starting at NHRA’s
Winternationals Feb. 8-11 in Pomona, Calif.
Announcers, led by Alan Reinhart, asked for this change and it was approved by NHRA’s
Senior Vice President of Racing Operations Graham Light.
Whereas the WIN LIGHT during qualifying has always shown the first across, the new
format will show who made the best run, so a car with a late R/T but better ET will get
the WIN LIGHT, regardless of who crossed first.
This will apply only during qualifying in the Pros. Reinhart and gang are trying to help
with the newcomers understanding what is actually going on down the track.
Compulink has created the software as a courtesy to help this effort.
