Has anyone ever seen a number like this on a small block
engine pad? :dunno

V0614T casting 3970010 is from various 69-72 350's and even a 302

V is Flint and was usually used for 'Vette engines but the suffix T with no other
letter does not compute.............:scratch

Any ideas?

T is almost always a truck- no other clues? Any chance it is not a T? Any casting date?
What heads and intake, if any?

The 010 blocks had nickle in them. I think, but correct me if I'm wrong, they were 4 bolts. I used them in our stock car in the 80's. Its a good strong block. Bo

The intake and carb are new Edlebrock and the heads are low comp according
to the marks at the front.

Didn't get casting date as we were mainly looking at the condition of the car.
The engine sounded good.

Once it's home we'll dig a little deeper.
Thanx for the info.

:cheers

The 010 blocks came in 2&4 bolt and also early(1976 back)heavy duty
and late light duty(1977 newer) versions. Also some had the nickle some did not.
