SMOKIN deal there. I have a 3-1/2 or 4" I bought new in the mid 80's and a used 3" that came with a house I bought in 94. Best vise on earth! Probably the most expensive, but the best!

We did a job at a scrap yard a month or so back…. While waiting for trucks I was going through the piles, found this one and gave the yard owner $20.00 for it….. good thing we were only there 3 days or who knows what else I would have brought home… lol

Looks like the same one I used in the 70s best vice I ever used around here they go for $350 to $600 so you got a great deal.

Great buy! I got a Wilton branded snap on with 5" jaws at a farm auction about ten years ago for $65. I think it was the buy of the sale.

Inherited this Parkinson vice (made in England) in 1966......belonged to my father-in law......
Wife says she remembers it when she was little so that's 70+ years, she thinks it may have
come over on the Ark.........

Back in the 50’s, I remember going on a city bus with my mom to the downtown Sears store. Apparently my dad had hinted he wanted a vise for Fathers Day.

So my mom buys a vise and we took turns carrying it for the several blocks to the bus stop to go home and again during the several blocks from the bus stop to our home. Sucker was heavy! I was around 10 years old. My mom was pretty petite.

When I was a teen and got into working on cars, I looked up the vise in the Sears tools catalog. It was the biggest and best vise Sears sold; no wonder it was so heavy!
