I was looking through some 1985-86 pictures I took at Super Chevy Indy. I found a nice pic of a white Z-11 from Stoney Creek Ontario. The owner at the time was Don Wattie. There were no decals or other markings on the car, just a plain 1963 Impala. Is this car still around somewhere?

If my memory is correct the owner said it was once owned by Joie Chitwood the stunt driver that did the "Thrill Show" around the country. I don't think the car was ever raced much if any. It was a beautiful car. You are right, one of the nicest around.

California I believe and yes it was Chitwood, there was also a race to get to the car and purchase. I do not remember the storey, but I think Don Wattie also purchased a 7000 mi survivor 63 that was used to restore the Z11 with nice original parts. That car never changed fom the mid 80's until the day it was sold, by Don.
