Pros: Excellent fit, good thickness
Cons: 2 small brackets did not match my originals

This repro part is very well made. Fit was perfect and the thickness felt like the original part I removed. This comes with the 3 inner brackets plus the 2 small pieces the trunk bumpers hit against.

Pic 1 shows my car after the panel was removed. Be prepared to work to get the this stage as this piece is spot welded to the hilt! After destroying 2 spot weld cutters, I had to finish with a drill bit and grinder for the last few. The center bracket/latch still to be removed.

Pic 2 shows the panel is fitted. Perfect! You can see all the holes I drilled for the next welding step. Since I don't own a spot welder (yet), I simply drilled holes and plug welded each. The gray primer you see is a special "weld thru" primer which will help avoid any future rust under the panel and at the welds

Pic 3 shows the panel after all the brackets have been installed and all welds smoothed down.

Pic 4 shows the brackets better. The small white pieces are my originals that I chose to reuse. The only part of this repro package I didn't care for was were these 2 small pieces. The repro's were a bit shorter and did not match my originals n shape. My originals had X18 stamped on them and although I have no idea what that means, I wanted to keep them so I transfered them over to the repro brackets. (Not hard to do, only 2 small welds each to drill out)

Pic 5 shows the job all done and seam area primed. Brush on seam sealer to mimic the original, the prime and paint to finish.

As I mentioned, a great repro part. If it weren't for those 2 small brackets that were not correct, I would give this a 10. This piece is a bit pricey but when you need one, you need it. Plus, it's too hard of a piece to remove from a parts car due to all the spot welds.
