I am very happy with this lift. I've used it quite a few times already and it works great!
First off, I mentioned China because I heard some of this lift is manufactured there but I cannot find anything on it saying China. It is built tough and the welds are perfect so I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one again even if it was made in China. This lift is certified for quality and ETL approved so it is safe.
I would have rated it a 10 but I did have some problems fitting the power runway to the cross beam. I'm told, this was due to a reinforcement recently added to these and the problem is being looked into. I could find no one else who already own a Bend pak that had this problem. The openings for the double pulley's were off not allowing them to turn freely but with a little grinding, I got everything to fit and work good. Unfortunetly, it took 2 days to put mine together because of this where most people did theirs in 5-6 hours.
I brought this to the attention of Bend pak and they took my concern seriously. And I'm happy to say that they offered me one of their rolling jacks for $500 to make up for my trouble. I declined as I really didn't need one so they are sending me a free aluminum racing jack instead. That more than makes up for the extra work I had to put in.
In the end, it all worked out and I would highly recommend the Bend Pak HD-9. If you can afford one and have the room, do yourself a favor and get on ASAP. The quality of your work will greatly improve and you can do what I did, turn a 2 car garage into a 3 by stacking 2 cars! lol
