First point, few books offer 348 engine specifics.
The best goal any publication can achieve is to strike a balance between content while remaining concise. The structure of this book meets that goal by detailing four rebuild projects offering cost saving tips along with decision options (and the supporting reasons) to assist in their selection. Plenty of color photo's to support the narratives. Great GM part number and vendor references are also included. The author also chose to include detailed costs for each project. This is a rather unusual practice for publications since this approach can only support a given point in time (2005) distined to grow stale. However, that said, even relative costs have their value so one can manage they're project without needless sticker shock. A fine publication whether you're doing a project or for long term reference. An excellent value even at the suggested market price.
