I was a bit skeptical on this and asked around on a few car forums about it before I bought it. I basically was told it was junk and not to bother with it. Since Harbor Freight refunds money on any of their products quickly without hassle, I just had to give it a try.
I'm here to say those who said it was junk were wrong! This thing does just what it says it will. I've used it quite heavily this past summer installing a complete trunk, wheel house, drop offs and quarter panels on my 63 Chevy Impala. It kept on zapping away a beautiful spot weld everytime. At some points, I did 20-30 welds in a row without a problem!
There is a 115 volt model too but I opted to get the 230 volt.
