    I am doing my 409-4speed in my 61 impala and would like to know-- did GM paint the bell housing and tranny and if so , what color? Also did they paint the engine any other color besides Chevy orange?

    Recently purchased T10 with shifter minus the handle. Shifter has ITM on the side. Its going in 61 Impala, bench seat and I want it to look stock. Anyone know what shifter handle will fit? Also, is the fly wheel specific to 409 or do others fit?
