Received a pic with meassurement from Theodore at progression ignition and compared to my original dist they kept a safe distance about 0,145 inch higher up to be safe.
Is that close to the oil supply hole you think, partly covered?

Try and do a search for "offenhauser 2X4 intake" on the forum with me (blueswede) and you should find a tread with some Pictures of solution for the PCV and also the splash pan of the offenhouser intake!

Where did you ground the MSD box ........they are normally grounded to the car I think!
If you run the ground from battery direct to Engine that is fine, but you still need to have a ground line between the Engine and the frame off the car because the MSD box may be connected to frame or...

I have read this back and forth now......strange problem!
This may be a dumb suggestion and you probably have looked at this also.....but how about a bad ground Connection between the engine and tha car?
Batt ground is connected to frame and the Engine should also have same ground...
